GO TUCK YOURSELF!

Andrei Andrei by Cameron McNee for Fashionisto Exclusive

As much as I love Steve Jobs, I’m still very much on the fence on this turtleneck phenomenon that has swept the fashion world lately. While it exudes elegance and simple sophistication, it also kind of exudes creepiness.
That being said, I approve of the orange and grays. I never thought I’d regret throwing out all my orange shirts from a few years ago.

Everyone knows about the tan pants trend already - so much that it’s starting to get blown out. Then again, if something works, why bitch about it, right?
Navy/teal work so well with the brown that it’s just hard to resist.
One thing that I love seeing so much of lately though is dip dyed shirts! Beautiful, intriguing, and never the same, dip dyed shirts are one 90’s surfer dude trend that I’m gladly welcoming back with open arms.
Righteous, dude.

Blues and browns are dominating this season. Speaking of domination, those gloves are damn hot - and I’m so sure that we have Ryan Gosling to thank for all the rage on them.
But what I really want to talk about is the tie bar: Simple and elegant, it can take an outfit from plain to perfect in a snap. I wear them EVERY TIME I have a tie on now. It just makes sense.

That two-pocket thing is starting to sell on me. On a right-fitting skinny blazer, and I guess a hot model like this one, who could say no?
Is it supposed to be a cigarette pocket though? Because if it is, WHERE HAS IT BEEN ALL MY LIFE?

The maxi-sweater… On a guy? Hmmm… Maybe if you were as skinny as he is.

I absolutely love that fall/winter has gone nautical now, too. While usually the stripes and ropes are saved for the warmer months, when done in the right colors, they work perfect against a cold and leafless backdrop, too.
That touch of pomegranate on the collar is to die for, btw.

SAINT AUGUSTINE ACADEMY SPRING/SUMMER 2012

After eight years in business, Saint Augustine Academy will sadly be closing its doors. This Spring/Summer 2012 collection is its last. Featuring crisp button-ups paired with a variety of different color chinos, there are signs of paisley as well on an otherwise crisp and stark look. Well done!

It’s sad to see another quality brand go - but such is the way of the industry. I was hoping they’d go out with a bang, but Saint Augustine Academy has always been one for more subdued, and sincere work.

While I’m not the biggest fan of the 70’s explosion lately, I am a fan of good craftsmanship, and good design.

That white paisley shirt is boogie brilliant though.
